Hello Pack,
We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. We will be working on our Aboriginal Awareness Badge, page 239 of the Cub book if you have one. If not follow the link from the previous post where you will find a PDF of the pages.
If you have completed the scrapbook that you may have started about a famous Canadian please bring it, however, if you haven't completed it yet still come and have fun. Please Have the scrapbook completed by February 8th.
Parents please follow the link for the purple star "B" requirements page 238 of the Cub Book, sign off if your cubs have completed any off these (a minimum of 5 are required for the badge) write us a short sentence about where and how your Cub completed each of the five.
We are excited about the day hike on February the 17th. and thought it was about time to get to the specifics.
We will be meeting at the Church at 10am and returning to the church between 12-12:30 where sister Olsen has so kindly offered to make chili and hot chocolate for lunch. Parents should be back to pick up their children no later then 1:30pm. Cubs are to come dressed for the weather (this hike will be delayed if the temperature goes below -15). Any parents that would like to join us please let us know ASAP so that we know who is available for transportation. Any person wanting to attend needs to fill out a liability waiver form prior to the event.
See you all soon Matthew and Dyanne

Badge Requirements
Hello Pack :)
We have found online the pages for the Star and badges we are working on for the next few weeks.
Please print these off and keep track of what your cub does at home and send them with them every week so we can mark it off on our list.
At the end of the list is also the webpage address with a link to all the badge requirement pages so if you cub has something else he would like to work towards on his own you will be able to help achieve this goal.

Cub Activity for January 25th
We are working on our Purple Star and Corresponding badges.
We know many don't have cub books yet as we are in the process of ordering them so we will be providing some photocopies for the in term to help you see what you need to help your cub work towards to achieve their badges.
It is a team effort as many things the cubs need to accomplish are done on their own time and us parents are a key factor in teaching and showing them way to achieve their goals.
If you have any questions or need ideas please feel free to contact any one of us leaders.
For our activity this next week we are starting work on our Canadian Heritage Badge as well as some of our Purple Star requirements.
Could you please send your cub prepared with some research on the history of Canada.
We will be going over this information while we draw Canada flags in class.
We also need them to find flags from 2 other countries that they find interesting and come prepared to draw them or have them pre-drawn and ready to tell everyone what country they are and maybe a couple of sentences about that country.
Future homework studies will include a scrapbook on a famous Canadian telling when they lived and what their accomplishments were/are.
Finding and telling the pack about a Canadian legend.
We will be showing them an example of this during this next pack meeting.
Thanks for all your help.
If there are any questions please feel free to contact either one of us.

Pack Meeting for January 18th.
Hi Everyone.
Cubs this week is cancelled because of the low temperatures.
In fact if the temperatures ever go below -30 we not hold a meeting that week.
Part of always being prepared is not getting into a bad situation to begin with (travelling in -30 temps to begin with)
We promise to have something extra special this coming week.
Best regards
Akela and Bagheera
